Under CPRA, sensitive personal information (SPI) includes precise geolocation, government IDs, health data, race/ethnicity, and similar categories.
We do not collect or use SPI for profiling, targeted advertising, or any purpose beyond:

  • Conducting research in a lawful and ethical manner

  • Meeting legal and regulatory obligations

As such, the right to limit use or disclosure of SPI is not applicable to our practices.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the research purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law, contract, or accounting standards.
Retention periods may vary by project and data type. When no longer needed, personal information is securely deleted or anonymized.

For participants aged 13 to 17, we require verifiable parental or guardian consent prior to collecting any personal information or including them in any research activity. Participation by minors in this age range is strictly limited to projects where appropriate consent mechanisms are in place and aligned with applicable laws and ethical guidelines.
